In the six weeks leading up to a critical board meeting, Zadie & Co. served as the organization’s thought partner and coach, reviewing their strategic plan, uncovering potential risks and communication challenges, recommending interactive engagement strategies for virtual and in-person meeting participants, and talking through questions and ideas as the leadership team prepared to launch their strategic plan.
Challenge
The Civic Federation is a 130-year-old independent government research organization based in Chicago, Illinois. They needed to roll out their new strategic plan to a 100+ member governing board with varying levels of engagement and familiarity with the organization. The challenge was to build consensus and enthusiasm for the organization’s next phase of growth while minimizing confusion and apprehension.
